A growing medical company was running five departments on disconnected spreadsheets with no single source of truth. We built a full Power BI platform that eliminated 20 hours of manual reporting weekly.

When this medical company approached Extranet Systems, they were running critical data across disconnected silos in clinical, finance, and operations, with each department working from its own version of the truth and its own set of spreadsheets.
Leadership could not get a straight answer to basic business questions without waiting days for an analyst to manually pull, clean, and reconcile reports. The business was scaling faster than the reporting could keep up. The risks were clear:
Our first priority was understanding how data actually moved across the business, not jumping straight to dashboards. Before we built anything, we spent time mapping every operational system, every reporting dependency, and every metric that mattered to each team.
What became clear was that the solution was not to build more reports on top of broken data. It was to build a governed data foundation first, then surface it through role-based dashboards each team could trust. No duplicated metrics. No conflicting numbers. This meant every department got the visibility they needed from a single source of truth, calculated consistently and refreshed automatically without human intervention.
"We went from waiting days for a report to opening a dashboard with live data every morning. The business finally feels like it is running on information, not instinct."Chief Operating Officer, Australian Medical Company
We worked in focused phases with clear deliverables at each stage. Every department could see progress from week one. Nothing was built without a defined metric and a mapped data source behind it.
We audited every operational system across clinical, finance, and operations, defined a governed data model, and built a centralised data warehouse that pulled from every source into a single, consistent, trusted foundation.
A curated Power BI semantic model was built on top of the warehouse, with automated refresh pipelines ensuring every dashboard pulled from live, current data. Every metric was defined once and calculated consistently across the entire business.
Fifteen production dashboards were delivered across executive, clinical, finance, and operations teams, each designed around the specific decisions and workflows of that user group, not a generic template applied to everyone.
The impact was visible from the first week of go-live. Teams that had spent hours every week pulling and reconciling spreadsheets now had live dashboards waiting for them each morning. Leadership made their first major business decision on live data within two weeks of the platform going live.
